White Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. milk
    4 egg whites
    3 c. flour
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream together shortening and sugar.
    Add milk alternately with flour, baking powder and salt, sifted together.
    Add whites of eggs or fold in last, stirring gently.
    Use any flavoring to suit taste.
    Bake in layer-cake pans for 30 minutes at 325\u00b0.
