Lizzies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. butter or margarine
2 eggs, well beaten
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 1/2 Tbsp. milk
1/3 c. bourbon or orange juice
1 lb. pecan halves
1/2 lb. citron, chopped
1 lb. candied cherries

Preparation

Cream sugar and butter thoroughly.
Add beaten eggs.
Sift together flour, soda and spices.
Add to egg mixture.
Add milk and bourbon; mixing well.
Add nuts, citron and candied cherries. Drop on greased cookie sheet and bake in moderately slow oven (325\u00b0) for 25 minutes.
These are wonderful for eggnog or Tom and Jerry parties.
Yields six dozen cookies.
