Maytime Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. lemon jello
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 3/4 c. hot water
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    2 tsp. grated onion
    dash of pepper
    2/3 c. grated carrots
    1/4 c. finely chopped green pepper
    1/4 c. walnuts or pecans (optional)
Preparation
    Dissolve jello and salt in hot water.
    Add vinegar, grated onion and pepper.
    Chill until slightly thickened.
    Fold in remaining ingredients.
    Chill until firm.
