Oatmeal-Carrot Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. margarine or butter
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 c. rolled oats
1/2 c. raisins (optional)
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1 c. finely shredded carrots
Preparation

In a large mixing bowl, beat margarine or butter with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds or until softened.
Add about half of the flour, then the brown sugar, sugar, egg, baking powder, vanilla, cinnamon, baking soda and cloves.
Beat until combined, scraping the sides of the bowl occasionally.
Beat or stir in remaining flour.
Stir in oats, carrots and raisins, if desired.
Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake in a 375\u00b0 oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are golden. Remove from the baking sheet; cool on a wire rack.
Makes about 4 dozen.
