Beef And Broccoli - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 lb. chuck roast or round steak
    1/4 c. vegetable oil
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    2 pkg. brown gravy mix
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1 bunch fresh broccoli (2 1/2 lb.)
    1 (1 lb.) can bean sprouts
    1 (6 oz.) can water chestnuts, sliced
Preparation
    Slice meat in strips.
    Quickly cook beef in hot oil until meat loses its redness.
    Remove meat and place in a shallow bowl. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons soy sauce and garlic powder.
    Prepare brown gravy mix according to package directions and add to pan juices with remaining soy sauce.
    Add meat and juices to gravy. Cook slowly for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Cook broccoli until just a fraction underdone.
    Drain.
    Add to meat and gravy with bean sprouts and water chestnuts.
    Stir gently; heat through. Serve over rice.
