Ingredients

1 lb. bulk Italian sausage
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
3/4 tsp. dried oregano, crushed
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. shredded Provolone or Mozzarella cheese (8 oz.)
Preparation

In skillet, cook sausage and onion until meat is browned. Drain off fat.
Stir in tomato sauce, basil, oregano and salt. Cover and simmer about 10 minutes. Spread desired pizza crusts with meat mixture. Top with shredded cheese.
Bake as directed in crust recipe. Sprinkle with 1/3 cup snipped parsley, if desired.
