Chile Verde(Crock-Pot) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. extra lean boneless pork
    1 lb. boneless beef chuck
    1 medium onion, chopped
    6 to 8 cloves garlic, minced
    1 can whole tomatoes (28 oz.), mashed
    2 (4 oz.) cans green chili peppers, drained, seeded and chopped
    1/3 chopped parsley or 2 Tbsp. dried parsley flakes
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. ground black pepper to taste
    2 tsp. cumin seed or 1 Tbsp. ground cumin
    1/2 c. beef broth
    2 whole cloves
    1 large green pepper, seeded and chopped
Preparation
    Cut pork and beef into 1-inch cubes.
    Combine all ingredients in crock-pot; stir thoroughly.
    Cover and cook on low setting for 8 to 10 hours.
    Before serving, taste for seasoning; add salt and cumin as needed.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings (about 3 quarts).
