Jumbo Raisin Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. raisins plus 1 c. water
4 c. flour
1 c. oleo
2 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Boil raisins in the water for 5 minutes; let cool.
Cream the sugar and shortening.
Add eggs.
Add dry ingredients to flour, then add to creamed mixture.
Add raisins, nuts and vanilla.
Put in refrigerator for 15 minutes.
Drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
