Orange Slice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. orange slices, cut up
    8 oz. dates, cut up
    2 c. chopped pecans
    1/2 c. coconut
    1/2 c. flour
    1 c. oleo, softened
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Combine the first 5 ingredients and set aside. Mix the oleo, sugar, eggs, soda mixed in buttermilk, flour and salt. Mix and pour over fruit and mix together. Spoon into a 12-cup pan or Bundt pan, greased well. Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour and 45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Take ice pick and punch full of holes while still in pan. Mix 1 cup orange juice and 2 cups powdered sugar. Pour over cake while warm. Leave in pan several hours, then take out.
