Spoon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. corn meal
    2 tsp. salt
    5 Tbsp. shortening
    4 eggs
    2 c. sweet milk
    4 tsp. baking powder
    2 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Mix meal, salt and shortening and scald with boiling water. Add well beaten eggs, milk and baking powder.
    Bake in a greased deep pan or casserole in moderate oven.
    Serve from pan with spoon.
