Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    2 or 3 Tbsp. chili powder
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 (46 oz.) can tomato juice
    1 can tomato paste
    3 cans chili hot beans
    1 Tbsp. crushed red pepper
    1 pkg. chili mix (optional)
Preparation
    Brown ground beef and onion. Drain. Add remaining ingredients and mix together. Bring to a boil and simmer for at least 1 hour. (Can cook it in the crock-pot for 2 or 3 hours.)
