Long Island Clam Spread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion, diced
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 (7 oz.) cans clams, chopped or minced
    15 to 18 crushed Ritz crackers
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    1 tsp. parsley flakes
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce (optional)
    2 Tbsp. sour cream (optional)
Preparation
    Saute onion in butter or margarine until transparent.
    Remove from heat and add the clams, one of the cans drained, the other with its liquid.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Bake, uncovered, for 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Serve on seasoned crackers or rye bread thins.
