Cream Cheese Rhubarb Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. fresh rhubarb, cut into 1-inch pieces
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
    8 oz. cream cheese, softened
    2 extra large eggs
    1 c. sour cream
    2 oz. sliced almonds, toasted
    1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
    In a 2-quart saucepan, combine the rhubarb, cornstarch, salt and 1 cup of the sugar.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring often, until the mixture boils and thickens.
    Pour the rhubarb mixture into the unbaked pie shell.
    Bake 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and set aside.
    Reduce the oven temperature to 350\u00b0.
