Cheese Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 cups self-rising flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. sugar
1/3 c. shortening
3/4 c. grated cheese
1 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350.
Mix flour, baking powder, and sugar together using a fork.
Cut in shortening until it has the consistency of cornmeal.
Add cheese.
Stir in buttermilk all at one time until just blended.
Do not overmix.
Drop by tablespoonfuls (or use an ice cream scoop) onto a well-greased baking sheet.
Bake 12 to 15 minutes.
