Apple Pie With Pecan Crumble - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. flour
10 Tbsp. cold butter
3 to 4 Tbsp. water
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
2/3 c. brown sugar
1 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 c. chopped pecans
1/2 tsp. plus 1 pinch salt
1/4 c. vegetable shortening
3 lb. apples (about 9 apples)
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/3 c. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation

Combine 1
1/2 cups flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Cut 4 tablespoons of
the
butter
and
the
shortening into the dry ingredients until
the mixture resembles coarse meal.
Add the water 1
tablespoon
at
a\ttime, tossing until the dough just holds together.
Wrap
in
plastic and refrigerate at least 30 minutes.
