Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. salad oil
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. diced apples
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Sift sugar, soda, flour and salt together into bowl; add eggs, oil and vanilla.
Mix well.
Add apples and nuts; stir until mixed well.
Pour into greased and floured tube pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
