7 Layer Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. uncooked rice (Minute rice or regular rice), washed and drained
    1 c. canned whole kernel corn, drained
    salt and pepper
    2 cans tomato sauce
    1/2 c. each onion and green pepper, chopped or diced
    3/4 lb. uncooked ground beef
    4 strips bacon, cut in half
Preparation
    Mix rice and corn; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    Pour over 1 can of tomato sauce, 1/2 cup water, onion, green pepper, and ground beef.
    Sprinkle again with salt and pepper.
    Add second can of tomato sauce and 1/4 cup water.
    Cover with strips of bacon. Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Uncover and bake another 30 minutes longer until bacon is crisped.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
