Blueberry Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. blueberries, slightly floured
Preparation

Cream shortening; add sugar and flavoring.
Beat until fluffy.
Add egg; beat well.
Add milk alternately with mixed and sifted dry ingredients; beat until smooth.
Fold in floured blueberries. Turn into greased and paper-lined 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan and bake in moderate oven, 375\u00b0, for 40 minutes.
