New Pumpkin Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine
3 c. sugar
5 large eggs
3 c. regular flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/8 tsp. apple or pumpkin pie spice
2 c. pumpkin
2 tsp. rum flavoring
1/4 c. water, minus 2 tsp.
Preparation

Have
all ingredients room temperature.
Beat margarine at medium speed 2 minutes. Gradually add sugar beating continuously over
7
minutes.
After
7 minutes, add eggs, one at a time, just until yellow disappears.
Combine flour and next 6 ingredients.
Combine
pumpkin
and
next 2 ingredients. Begin with flour mixture and
end with flour mixture. Alternate with pumpkin mixture.
Mix at
lowest
speed
just
until
blended. Grease well and flour a tube
pan. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 25 to 30 minutes. Test
for doneness. Cool on rack 10 minutes. Remove from pan.
Ice with a cream cheese icing.
