Steak A La Genevieve(This Is An Original) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 small boneless beef chuck steaks, called \"chicken steaks\"
    2 green peppers (bell)
    2 medium onions
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 (28 oz.) large can tomatoes
Preparation
    Break up tomatoes, placing about 1/2 the amount in baking dish. Place chicken steaks on top of tomatoes.
    Slice onions and peppers into strips about 1/2 inch wide.
    Place on top of meat.
    Pour remainder of broken-up tomatoes and juice on top.
    Sprinkle with salt and pepper as desired.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/4 hours, tightly covered with foil.
