Everlasting Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium cucumbers
    1 green pepper
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. dill seed
    6 tsp. salt
    1 onion
    1 1/2 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Sprinkle salt over thinly sliced cucumbers and let set for 1 hour.
    Dissolve sugar in vinegar and add rest of ingredients to cucumbers, slicing onion and pepper thinly.
    This makes a nice and crispy pickle and will keep indefinitely in the refrigerator.
