Ingredients

1 c. butter
2/3 c. sugar
2 egg yolks (reserve egg whites)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
chopped walnuts
apricot jam
Preparation

Blend together the first 6 ingredients.
Shape the dough into walnut size balls.
Dip in reserved egg whites.
Roll in chopped walnuts.
Place on cookie tray; press thumb in center.
Bake at 325\u00b0.
When cool, fill centers with apricot jam.
