Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 3/4 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    3 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix together butter and shortening.
    Beat in 1 1/2 cups sugar, eggs and vanilla.
    Sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.
    Blend into creamed mixture.
    Shape rounded teaspoons of dough into small balls.
    Combine 3 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon; roll balls in sugar/cinnamon mixture.
    Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
    (Be careful, they burn easily!!) Remove from baking sheet; cool on racks.
    Makes approximately 6 dozen.
