Peach Glaze Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. sliced fresh peaches
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    9-inch pie shell, baked
    3/4 c. water
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/8 tsp. salt
    whipped cream
Preparation
    Mash 1 cup sliced peaches.
    Add water and cook 5 minutes.
    Mix sugar and cornstarch; add to fruit mixture.
    Cook until thick and clear.
    Add lemon juice, butter and salt.
    Allow mixture to cool completely.
    Arrange remaining fruit in cooled pie shell.
    Pour cooled glaze over fruit.
    Chill thoroughly.
    Top with whipped cream.
