The "Original" Key Lime Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (15 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
    1/2 c. lime juice (at room temperature)
    4 eggs, separated and at room temperature
    1 graham cracker pie shell
    1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
    4 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Combine milk and lime juice.
    Add slightly beaten egg yolks. Pour into pie shell and bake 10 minutes.
    Make meringue by beating egg whites and cream of tartar and gradually adding sugar.
    Cover pie with meringue, spreading to edges over crust.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 until lightly browned, about 10 minutes.
