Fresh Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. peaches
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. flour
pinch of salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
1/4 tsp. almond extract
1 stick margarine or butter
Preparation

Slice peaches and mix with 3/4 cup of sugar; let stand 2 hours.
Sift together the flour, salt and baking powder.
Mix with 1 cup of sugar.
Stir in milk and almond extract.
Melt butter in baking dish.
Pour batter over butter; do not stir.
Pour the peaches over the top of the batter to form a layer.
Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 50 to 55 minutes; with glass baking dish, bake at 325\u00b0.
Check as end of baking time approaches as you do not want the juices to caramelize.
Serve with whipped cream, if desired.
