Hot Milk Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    4 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1 pad butter
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 pkg. lemon pudding mix, cooked according to directions
Preparation
    Melt butter in milk; heat to scalding point.
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Mix all ingredients, except lemon pudding mix; pour into a 9 x 13-inch greased and floured pan.
    Bake for 30 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven until lightly browned.
    Cut the cake into 2 layers. Prepare 1 package of lemon pudding mix; spoon onto bottom layer. Place top layer on top of the pudding.
    Sprinkle top with powdered sugar.
