Gram'S Donuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 small potatoes
    2 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    2 scant Tbsp. shortening
    3/4 c. milk
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    3 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Boil and mash potatoes.
    Add hot to additional ingredients. Roll out dough.
    Cut.
    Drop into hot oil until golden brown. Place on paper towel.
    Drop donuts in cinnamon/sugar or powdered sugar for variation.
