Basic Cream Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. flour
2 egg yolks, beaten
dash of salt
1 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix
sugar
and flour; add egg yolks and enough milk to blend well.
When
mixture
is smooth, add remainder of milk. Mix
well and cook on medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick.\tRemove from
heat
and
add
butter,
vanilla and, if desired,
1
or
2 drops
of yellow food coloring.
Pour into cooked pie shell and top with meringue.
