Dough For Fried Pies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    6 Tbsp. butter
    1 egg yolk, beaten
    1/3 c. milk
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Cut in butter with knife or blender until it resembles coarse crumbs.
    Mix egg yolk and milk; stir in flour, adding only enough to hold the dough together. Shape into a ball.
    Wrap in wax paper and chill 1 hour.
    Roll out to 1/16-inch thick.
    Place 1 1/2 tablespoons filling in center and fold over.
    Moisten edges with cold water.
    Press with fork.
    Fry at 315\u00b0 for 2 or 3 minutes on each side in hot oil.
