Scotch Friendly Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
Preparation

Whip and beat until fluffy, putting vanilla in before the flour.
Mix flour in a little at a time.
Place in two ungreased square pans.
Dampen palms of hands and spread batter out.
Prick it clear through with hot, wet fork.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
Cut in diamond shape.
