Golden Cliff Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs, separated
3 c. sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in vanilla and egg yolks.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add dry ingredients to egg yolk mixture alternately with milk. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into batter.
Bake in preheated oven at 375\u00b0 for 25 minutes in 13 x 9 x 2-inch loaf pan.
