Baking Powder Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. shortening
    3/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Cut in shortening.
    Stir in milk.
    Turn out on lightly floured board and knead about 20 times. May cut with floured 2-inch cutter (or pat into a seven-inch circle and cut into 9 pieces).
    Bake on ungreased sheet at 450\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until browned.
    Makes 9 to 12 biscuits.
