Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. light molasses
    1 egg
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix shortening and sugars, then stir in molasses and egg.
    Add dry ingredients and mix well.
    Form dough into 1 1/4-inch diameter balls.
    Roll balls in sugar and bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 12 minutes, depending on whether you like the cookies crunchy or chewy.
