Cheesy Beef Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 1/2 c. diced green pepper
    3 Tbsp. minced onion
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce with mushrooms
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    1 1/2 c. shredded mild Cheddar, divided
    1/2 c. Commercial sour cream
    1 egg, beaten
    1 (5 oz.) can refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
Preparation
    Saute beef, green pepper and onion in a skillet until meat is done.
    Drain well on paper towels.
    Return to skillet.
    Add tomato sauce and seasonings.
    Combine 1/2 cup cheese, sour cream and egg; mix well and stir into meat mixture.
    Spoon into an 8-inch baking dish.
    Split biscuits and place on top of meat mixture.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Sprinkle pie with remaining cheese during the last 10 minutes of baking.
    Serves 4 to 5.
