Whole Wheat Dinner Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. each all-purpose flour and whole wheat flour
    1/4 c. wheat germ
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted or salad oil
    1/4 c. granulated sugar or firmly packed brown sugar or 2 Tbsp. honey
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    In a large bowl, mix all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, wheat germ, baking powder and salt until blended.
    Make a well in center.
    In another bowl, lightly beat egg.
    Stir in butter, sugar and milk.
    Pour all at once into flour well and stir just until dry ingredients are evenly moistened.
    Spoon batter into greased 2 1/2-inch muffin cups, filling 2/3 full.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven until muffins are well browned and tops spring back when touched (about 25 minutes).
    Makes 1 dozen.
