Peppered Beef(Appetizer) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. chuck roast (bone in)
    1 c. water
    2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 Tbsp. pepper
Preparation
    Trim all fat and membrane from meat.
    Cut meat into 1-inch cubes.
    Put all ingredients in Dutch oven (covered).
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 4 to 5 hours.
    Check after 3 1/2 hours; if too dry, add water. After 4 1/2 to 5 hours use potato masher.
    Meat should look like a spread.
    Serve warm on bread.
    Especially good on party rye.
