Apple Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. shortening
    1/2 c. milk
    8 to 10 apples (Winesap or Woffe River)
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 c. water
Preparation
    May use pastry dough.
