Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1 c. Karo syrup
    1 pkg. raw peanuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Cook sugar, water and syrup until soft ball stage.
    Stir occasionally over medium heat.
    Add peanuts; cook until 300\u00b0, hard crack stage.
    Stir constantly.
    When it reaches hard crack stage, take from stove.
    Add vanilla, butter and soda.
    Pour on buttered cookie sheet.
    Break after it cools.
