Vegetable Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 medium onions
    10 green tomatoes
    6 red sweet peppers
    6 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. celery seed
    4 c. distilled vinegar
    1 medium head cabbage
    12 green sweet peppers
    1/2 c. canning salt
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
    2 c. water
Preparation
    Grind vegetables using coarse blade.
    Sprinkle with salt; let stand overnight.
    Rinse and drain.
    Combine remaining ingredients. Pour over vegetables.
    Heat to boiling.
    Simmer for 3 minutes. Makes 8 pints.
