Overnight French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (10 oz.) loaf French bread
    8 large eggs
    3 c. milk
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. vanilla
    1/4 c. butter
    syrup
Preparation
    Butter a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Cut bread into 1-inch slices and lay in pan.
    Beat eggs with milk, sugar, salt and vanilla.
    Pour over bread.
    Cover with foil and refrigerate.
    Next day, uncover and dot with butter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until puffy and brown.
    Serve with syrup.
    Yields 6 to 8 servings.
