Layered Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, in small pieces
    1 c. diced celery
    4 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, thawed (uncooked)
    1/2 c. diced green pepper
    1 medium diced onion
    8 slices cooked crumbled bacon
    2 c. mayonnaise
    1 to 2 Tbsp. sugar
    4 oz. Cheddar cheese, shredded
    parsley
    1/2 to 1 tsp. lemon juice
    mustard to taste
Preparation
    Layer first 7 ingredients in order given in a 12 x 9-inch casserole dish.
    Combine mayonnaise, lemon juice, mustard and sugar; spread evenly over top of salad completely sealing to edges. Sprinkle with cheese.
    Cover and refrigerate 8 to 12 hours. Garnish with parsley.
