Ingredients

6 c. flour
2 c. sugar
3 c. shortening
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
1 c. currants
3 eggs
2/3 c. milk
Preparation
-
Mix the first 6 ingredients like pie crust, then add currants, eggs and milk.
Roll to 1/2-inch thick.
Cut with cutter or water glass.
Spray with Pam.
Fry on griddle until golden in color. Turn to do other side.
Cool on rack.
