Banana Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    3 eggs
    3 c. cake flour
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 1/3 tsp. soda
    1 Tbsp. hot water
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 c. bananas, mashed very fine
Preparation
    Cream sugar with shortening until creamy.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Sift cake flour before measuring, then sift with baking powder 3 times.
    Dissolve soda in hot water and add to buttermilk, then add alternately with flour mixture to creamed sugar and shortening.
    Mix in finely mashed bananas.
    Pour in greased, floured pan and bake at 325\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
