Bean And Rib Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/3 c. dried pinto beans
3 lb. pork ribs, cut up
1/4 c. vegetable oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 c. chopped onion
2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans beef broth (undiluted)
4 c. water
2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. ground cumin
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. crushed oregano
1/2 tsp. salt
4 c. thinly sliced carrots
1 (8 oz.) can whole kernel corn, drained
Preparation

Sort
and
wash
beans;
place
in
a large Dutch oven. (Cast-iron, if
you
have one.) Fill with water 2 inches above beans and
bring to a boil; cook 2 minutes.
Remove from heat. Cover and let soak 1 hour; drain and remove.
