Baked Clams With Walnuts - cooking recipe
Ingredients

16 clams on half shell
2 shallots, minced
10 walnut halves
1/4 c. parsley
3 Tbsp. vermouth, white wine or Pernod
4 Tbsp. unsalted butter
1/4 c. fresh, fine bread crumbs
Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
Preparation

Chop and mash together the shallots, walnut halves, parsley and vermouth.
Knead in butter, bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese. Spoon topping on each clam.
Cover with freshly grated Parmesan (best quality).
Make a bed of loosely crumpled aluminum foil on a pan.
Arrange clams on foil and bake, loosely covered with a layer of aluminum foil, in a 450\u00b0 oven for 3 to 5 minutes.
When just barely done, remove foil and brown close to the broiler.
Serves 4.
