Louisiana Date Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dates, pitted and chopped
    1 c. nuts broken
    2 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1 stick of butter
    1 1/2 c. Rice Crispies
    1 tsp. vanilla
    Angel Flake coconut
Preparation
    Boil the sugar and butter for 6 minutes.
    Combine the first 5 ingredients and add Rice Krispies and vanilla.
    Cool
    Roll into balls about 1 inch in diameter and then roll in angel flake coconut.
