Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slices white bread
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 1/2 c. milk or light cream
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 eggs
Preparation
    Butter bread and take off crusts.
    Cut into cubes.
    In a double boiler, put brown sugar with bread cubes on top.
    In separate bowl, beat eggs, milk and vanilla.
    Pour over bread cubes.
    Do not stir.
    Cover the double boiler and cook for 1 1/2 hours.
