Apple Crisp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sliced apples
    1/4 c. water
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 to 3/4 c. flour
    1/3 c. butter, softened
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In 8-inch square pan, place apple slices.
    Sprinkle water, cinnamon and salt over apples.
    Mix flour and sugar together; cut in butter until crumbly.
    Sprinkle over apples.
    Bake 40 minutes, uncovered, until the topping is light golden brown and apples are tender.
    Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
