Split Pea Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. diced, cooked chicken
    1 1/2 c. finely chopped carrots
    1 c. finely chopped onions
    3/4 c. finely chopped celery
    2 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
    1/8 tsp. dried thyme leaves
    1 (16 oz.) pkg. green split peas, rinsed and drained
    8 c. chicken broth
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    In 5-quart Dutch oven, combine all ingredients; bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat, cover and simmer approximately 2 hours or until chowder has thickened, stirring occasionally.
    Makes 8 (1 1/2 cup) servings.
